Fortnite’s Latest Update Brings Exciting Changes
Fortnite fans are in for a treat as Epic Games rolls out the new update v29.01 on March 19, 2024. This update marks the first major patch since the launch of Chapter 5 Season 2, which introduced significant map updates, a fresh Battle Pass, and new mythic items and bosses. Despite some initial bugs and performance issues, hotfixes have smoothed out the gameplay, allowing players to fully enjoy the new season’s offerings.
As is customary with major updates, Fortnite’s servers will be temporarily down starting at 4 AM ET on the release day, with matchmaking disabled 30 minutes prior. The downtime is expected to last until approximately 7 AM ET, after which players can dive into the updated game world.
The highlight of the update is the much-anticipated return of the popular character Midas, accompanied by a significant event and a new skin. Additionally, the beloved Floor is Lava game mode makes a comeback, alongside the reintroduction of the Drum Gun and a new mythic Hades item. The Warforged AR speed mag also receives a notable enhancement, now reloading 20% faster than before, promising to shift the dynamics of combat.
While the full patch notes are yet to be released, these early insights have already sparked excitement within the Fortnite community. Stay tuned for the official patch notes to discover all the details of the new content and improvements.
