Knecht, who faced concerns over his age and defensive abilities, and Bronny James are set to debut in the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League. They will be joined by Colin Castleton, Maxwell Lewis, and two-way contract signees Armel Traore and Blake Hinson. Quincy Olivari, an undrafted Xavier guard, has also joined the Lakers on an Exhibit-10 deal, which could lead to a spot on the South Bay Lakers if he impresses during training camp.
Olivari, who transferred from Rice to Xavier for his final year, is known for his solid frame and exceptional outside shooting, fitting the Lakers’ strategy of adding shooters under new head coach JJ Redick.
