Fortnite’s Latest Update Brings Exciting Collaborations and Features
Fortnite fans, gear up for an exciting update! Epic Games has rolled out the v30.40 patch, packed with fresh content and thrilling collaborations as the current season nears its end.
The update has brought the much-anticipated Fortnite x Fall Guys event to life, offering players the chance to snag free rewards. Leaks had hinted at this crossover, and now, with a teaser released, the excitement is palpable. Additionally, the update might mark the return of the minigun, an Alan Walker x Fortnite collaboration, and a mini-event leading up to the new season.
One of the standout features in the LEGO Fortnite patch notes is the introduction of the Battle Bus fast travel network. This new system allows players to zip across their world in no time, thanks to strategically placed Bus Stations. These stations can be constructed using Rift Shards, adding a new layer of strategy to the game.
Moreover, the update empowers players with the ability to tweak world settings without starting anew. While some restrictions apply, such as in Expert mode, this flexibility lets players customize their experience, from disabling hunger for a more casual play to ramping up the challenge with stronger enemies.
As for the server downtime, it began at 4 AM ET on August 6, 2024, with matchmaking disabled 30 minutes prior. While Epic Games hasn’t specified an exact time for the servers to come back online, past updates suggest a likely return around 7 AM ET.
