Fortnite’s Exciting New Update
The popular battle royale game Fortnite has rolled out an update on March 19, bringing fresh content and items to the game’s dynamic environment. Among the new additions are three items: the Chains of Hades, Shield Bubble Jr, and a new variant of the Drum Gun, each with unique capabilities to enhance gameplay.
New Items and Modes
The Chains of Hades is an Olympian Power that allows players to execute a ranged hook attack, drawing enemies in for a devastating close-range combo. The Shield Bubble Jr provides a protective dome against gunfire, albeit smaller than its predecessor. The reimagined Drum Gun now joins the SMG category with updated stats, offering a different tactical approach.
Rise of Midas Quests and Rewards
Alongside the items, the update introduced the Rise of Midas Quests, unlocking new rewards such as back bling, a glider, and a spray. These quests are phased, with only the initial stage currently available. Additionally, the update revives the beloved Floor is Lava mode, complete with its own set of quests for players to conquer and earn in-game prizes.
Drum Gun’s Return
The Drum Gun, previously a fan-favorite for its high DPS and large magazine, returns with a fresh look and classification as an SMG. This iteration features a 30-round magazine and modified damage and fire rate, available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities.
Where to Find the New Items
Players can find the Chains of Hades on the ground, in chests, or by defeating Hades at The Underworld POI. This new Power can inflict up to 150 damage with its three-hit combo, adding a powerful option for close-quarters combat.
