Lakers Boost Roster with New Two-Way Contracts
The Los Angeles Lakers have bolstered their lineup by signing center Colin Castleton and forwards Blake Hinson and Armel Traore to two-way contracts, as announced by Rob Pelinka, the team’s Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager.
Castleton is set for his second stint with the Lakers after an undrafted entry from Florida in 2023. With a modest average of 1.5 points in the previous season, he’s now focused on enhancing his 3-point shooting and defensive skills. Hinson, coming off a stellar season at the University of Pittsburgh, brings his sharpshooting prowess, having led the ACC with a 42.1% success rate from the 3-point line. Traore joins from France’s LNB Élite, where he played for ADA Blois, averaging 10.8 points and 7.3 rebounds.
The trio made their presence felt in the Lakers’ Summer League opener, despite a loss to the Sacramento Kings. Castleton, in particular, is working diligently on his 3-point shot, a skill he believes will be pivotal for his performance in the Summer League and beyond.
